This project brings together two musicians who have been playing together for twenty years in numerous occasions. Both experienced artists in performances involving different forms of expressions, Allulli and Ceccarelli composed original music for the soundtrack of silent movie “Cenere”, whose centenary will be celebrated in 2016.

Giovanni Ceccarelli’s trio album “Météores”, was awarded with the “Sélection FIP”, “Sélection écouters”, and “Sélection HMCH”. This trio gathers three musicians whose close listening and interplay are some of their main features. The trio proposes a repertoire of original compositions and interpretations of the great Brazilian songbook.

Giovanni Ceccarelli Solo
Giovanni Ceccarelli – piano, clavietta, whistle
Giovanni Ceccarelli brings in this solo performance his own entire music world. Proposing a repertoire of mainly own compositions, the pianist has very recently introduced the melodica into his sound palette: this little instrument is a true singing voice, responding and interacting with the piano.

This piano solo Concerts for Syria are for the benefit of Life4Syria, an association giving humanitarian relief inside of Syria. At each concert Giovanni invites a guest artist to join him on stage. Whenever possible, a member of Life4Syria opens the event by talking to the audience about the dramatic situation in Syria and the association’s humanitarian actions.

Sandra Cartolari and Giovanni Ceccarelli have been playing together for twenty-five years. Sandra’s CD “Twolips” (1999) presents songs composed by the singer and the pianist. In concert they propose a repertoire of original songs and a selection of pieces from the Italian, Argentinian, and USA songbook.

Giovanni Ceccarelli has been playing and recording with the great Lee Konitz since 1997. The CD “Waxin’ in Camerino”, recorded by the Konitz and the pianist’s French Trio, was released in 2011 by Italian label Philology Records.
