Ce samedi j'aurai le grand plaisir de retrouver mon grand ami Marcello Allulli ici à Paris !
Nous présenterons notre ciné-concert autour du film muet "Cenere (Les cendres du passé)" à L'Osteria - Rosny sous Bois.

Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas ce film, il s'agit de la seule œuvre cinématographique interprétée par l'extraordinaire actrice Eleonora Duse. Nous, Marcello Allulli/Giovanni Ceccarelli avons composé les musiques que nous jouons sur scène pendant la projection du film.

Last Friday I ended a series of four workshops with classical piano students entitled "Awareness workshops towards a creative approach to music". Five students of different ages and levels attended my workshops, which focused on how to acquire a spontaneous approach to the piano. It was for me a very inspiring, nourishing and positive experience. We worked on spontaneous improvisation at the piano, alternative ways of playing the piano (hitting strings, prepared piano, using the piano as a percussion), how to open a classical piece to improvisation. I played for my students, we experimented by playing duets on two pianos, we listened to some piano masters who dug into this matter (Jarrett, Bley, Corea, Pieranunzi...).
I sincerely thank my students for being open, enthusiastic and curious. Thanks to the Conservatory in Mantes-la-Jolie, where I currently teach jazz piano, for hosting and promoting this teaching experience. Thanks to the classical piano professors for responding with interest and full support.
