On August 29th 2016 Giovanni Ceccarelli held his first Concert for Syria. This benefit event took place at the Sala Preconsiliare in Orvieto, Italy. The concert was for the benefit of association Life for Syria.
Vanessa Van Renterghem, Giovanni’s wife and an active member of Life4Syria, talked to the audience before the concert, explaining the dramatic situation in Syria and the association’s humanitarian actions.
Giovanni gave a solo piano concert, also inviting on stage saxophonist Lorenzo Fontana. This video is a duo interpretation of John Coltrane’s classic Naima.
