Giovanni Ceccarelli perfoming with Ivan Lins this summer

 

Giovanni Ceccarelli‘s collaboration with the great Ivan Lins dates back from 2010, when Ivan participated to group InventaRio‘s first album, “InventaRio”. In 2012 Giovanni’s group InventaRio and the Brazilian star recorded together “InventaRio incontra Ivan Lins”, an album that was released by Blue Note/Biscoito Fino and that received a Latin Grammy nomination as “Best MPB Album”.

Last year Ivan Lins and InventaRio opened the prestigious Ravello Festival in Italy.

Ivan Lins called Giovanni for two concerts in Europe. The group, which includes Nanni Zedda, Roberto Serci, Nema Antunes, and InventaRio’s drummer Francesco Petreni, will play at Jazz in Ajacciu in Corsica and at Jazzsommer im Bayerischen Hof in Germany.
