Video by Giovanni Ceccarelli and his new trio is dedicated to music by Ivan Lins

 

Giovanni Ceccarelli has founded a new trio featuring double bassist Mauro Gargano and drummer Patrick Goraguer.

Earlier in the year they made a video session at Patrick’s studio, playing mainly original music. The first video that they publish from that session is on the contrary dedicated to great pianist, singer, and composer Ivan Lins: a medley including “Vieste” and “Renata Maria”. Giovanni has released an album with Lins which was nominated at the 2014 Latin Grammy Awards: “InventaRio incontra Ivan Lins”.
